Kind words towards someone can make a difference in their life. How long have we gone without a compliment? Some of us work all day without no one really noticing us. Sometimes we start to feel like we are invisible to the people, who are around us. Then someone out of no where says something kind to us. They may say, how good we look or how well we are doing in our job. Their compliment, their kind words boost our self-esteem. They make us feel actually good about ourselves. Their kind words have made a difference in our day.
Here is what the Bible says about using kind words. Proverbs16:24 "Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body." Proverbs 12:25 "Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad." Proverbs 25:11 "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver." In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to encourage one another and build one another up. We can use our kind words so to encourage each other and with our words we can strengthen each other so that we do not have to feel that we are alone in this world.
I have met a person to whom that I had said a few kind words to them during their hard times. They said to me that my words met a lot to them however I could barely remember what I said. I have realized that you may think that your kind words had little effect on someone but maybe it means a great deal to them. We should not underestimate the power of a kind word it can help people to heal their soul.
A kind word, who does not want to hear it? I believe we all do. It is like a refreshing drink in a long drought of silence, it can energize your soul and make you feel a little bit better about yourself. A compliment can make us feel that we are seen and that we do matter. Kind words can change the way we see ourselves from the negative to the positive. Kinds words is what Proverbs 16:24 says, they are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Kind words can make a difference in our life.
